The alarm clock went from slient to loud, then a bit louder, then really loud, then - *CRASH!!!!*
Hikki had enough with the alarm clock. It served its purpose, but now it was time for that imfamous throw to the wall.
Once the sound in the noggin subsided, he laid back into bed. And for a moment, he forgot where he was. Once he realized that, he jolted his upper body to see his surroundings.
In his mind: "The alarm clock, some really nice wallpaper of flowers, two lamps, a window overlooking the countryside, Lloyd..."
"WAIT, WHAT?"
He slowly looked over to his right to see a naked Lloyd sleeping beside him, unaffected by all the noise he made. Then he slumped back into bed, and attempted to recall everything that had happened in the past 12 hours...

With the way Hikki was at the moment, you could say that he was working himself to death. Even Lloyd noticed that, especially the day when he came home and basically fell asleep in his clothes.
What both of them needed was a nice time away from all of this "stupid commotion" - "Baccano," as some people would call it. The solution? Stick them in a Bed & Breakfast Inn somewhere in the middle of nowhere to let them gather loose ends and really relax. Everyone involved in getting the two there would cover for anything that the two would usually do.
Of course, it would take a lot of determination - and some really hard selling - to get them to take this vacation. But eventually, the two bought in and where immediately shipped to to the countryside near the border of Babblstan.
Once there, the two settled in and really took it upon themselves to take advantage of everything there was to do. From a full-down massage to spa treatment to luxorious meals, it was like the two were in heaven.
But that didn't happen until 12 hours ago.
Back in the room, the two sat on the bed, talking about various loose ends. Eventually, he elaborated on what he said earlier about the Syndicate and what had happened. Of course, being in a private but somewhat public place, he kept it short and brief. But for Lloyd, he was glad that he was able to get things off his chest - things that Hikki wouldn't said in front of the rest of them.
Then the two went on to Argeno, telling their stories about who did what and how everything went down in the past. Hikki, still hurt by the fateful incident, started to tear up after Lloyd told one of his stories. Both of them shared a deep hug, then...
"I...I...Ee zank you Lloyd for being here with me," Hikki confessed first.
"I'll be honest with you: you're much more better than Argeno when I was with him - and that's a good thing Hikki," Lloyd said to him, starring into his eyes.
"Really?" Hikki blushed, beet red from head to toe. He was also starring into his eyes.
And you know that feeling...when both of them stare into each other, you know what's going to happen as both of them get closer and closer and closer...then that happened.
*censored*
In Hikki's mind, that took two hours to play through. Of course, he did slow down when the action really started. But forever in his mind he will keep those as a sign of brighter things to come, even with everything that has happned in his life. So many people lost, yet so many people gained - especially Lloyd. Especially Lloyd.
It was already 11am, and the two had to pack everything up to check out at 12.
And once they were in the car going back, the two created one rule.
Do not talk about the night in the Bed and Breakfast Inn...to anyone else.
